One New York evening  

The town was wide awake and enjoying the lights of the city

But I wasn’t

I decided to call some friends and meet them in a bar called

The Rodeo Bar

I had a nice leisurely walk to the bar

When I got there

No one else was

Just the bartender

I sat on the stalls and ordered a pint

‘Meeting someone?’ asked the bartender

‘Yes…

I paused for a moment

I thought I saw my friends

…two friends.’

Suddenly I could see them

They came in and ordered their drinks

They sat down

‘Hi’ I said

‘Hi’ they said

We continued talking into the night.
